FWGP invites you to participate in their latest workshop: How to Get Published in Newspapers and Magazines, facilitated by mother-and-son team Susan Claire Agbayani and Gideon Isidro. Would you like to add “writer” to your designation? Do you believe you have what it takes to be a writer but don’t know how to have your work published? Learn how to turn your ideas into actual feature articles, and how you can get your work published even if you don’t know anyone in the newspaper or magazine circles.

About the Facilitators:

Susan Claire Agbayani or CLAIRE has been writing feature articles and personality profiles for three (3) decades. Her articles have seen print in Business World, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Philippine Star, and these newspapers’ magazines; she’s also written for Rappler, herword.com, philmusic.com and the Singapore-based liveolive.com. She apprenticed with DepthNews, Press Foundation of Asia, was a staff member of TV Times; staff writer of Business Star; pioneering music columnist of Cosmopolitan Philippines; associate editor of Pulp Music Magazine, and managing editor of Philippines Yearbook 2001 edition. Claire also writes fiction, poetry, essays; dabbles in event organizing and concert production; and is an aficionado of Filipino indie films. She heads the Marketing & Resource Mobilization Committee of the Freelance Writers’ Guild of the Philippines (FWGP).

Gideon Isidro or GIDE is an associate software engineer in an IT and Consulting firm. He has been writing feature articles for 2BU of Inquirer for three years and has recently contributed to Rappler as well. A Chemistry graduate of De La Salle University-Manila, he creates natural or organic perfumes and other products on the side. He is working on two books right now.
