The Department of English and Comparative Literature of the University of the Philippines Diliman, the College English Teachers’ Association, and the Council of Department Chairpersons of English, in partnership with Primetrade Asia, Inc., is inviting you to attend the National Conference on Language and Literature slated on September 10 – 12, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

With the theme “Language and Literature at the Crossroads: Research Routes, Learning Landscapes, Teaching Terrains,” the conference highlights Memorial Lectures in honor of three distinguished language and literature educators: Nieves Epistola, Maria Clara Ravina and Milagros Tanlayco. A panel of scholars will do a round-table discussion on K-12 and a panel of guest entertainment celebrities will talk about their engagements with literature.

The conference will be held in conjunction with the 34th Manila International Book Fair, the country’s premier book event, slated on September 11 to 15, 2013 at Exhibition Halls 1-4 (G/F of SMX convention Center). It will also coincide with other equally exciting events: Edu.Shop, Educare: A Young Child Conference, and the Best of Anime 2013.
