“have thy Will,” an original, all-Filipino production that re-imagines selected Shakespearean sonnets and the stories that they tell, will be staged at the UP Teatro Hermogenes Ylagan at 6 PM on December 6, 2013. The single show closes the first University of the Philippines International Shakespeare Conference on Shakespeare in Asia.

Devised and directed by Ron Capinding, the piece bridges poetry and drama to create an exciting new interpretation of the sordid loves and complicated relationships immortalized in Shakespeare’s sonnet cycle. The cast includes Teroy Guzman, Ricky Abad, Frances Makil-Ignacio, and Dolly de Leon.

Participants of the Shakespeare in Asia conference will receive tickets to the performance as part of their registration. For others who want to watch the play, a very limited number of tickets will be available for sale at the gate. Reserve tickets to the show by contacting the secretariat at shakespearephilippines2013@up.edu.ph or via the conference website athttp://conference.up.edu.ph/shakespeareinasia2013/.
