Silliman University National Writers Workshop celebrates with The Word is Alive

The Word is Alive ​celebrates poetry in all its incarnations, including spoken word poetry and performance poetry. It also features a snippet of the Dumaguete indie music scene. It features readings by Bron Teves, Razceljan Salvarita, Mae Young, Susan S. ​Lara, Elle Divine, Simon Alvarez, Marjorie Evasco, Grace Monte de Ramos, Christian Renz Torres, Nino de Veyra, John Bengan, Gemino​ H.​ Abad​, Jessica Moldez, Cesar Ruiz Aquino, and Alfred Yuson. ​

It also features music by J Marie Maxino, Anna Katrina Espino, Andrew Alvarez, and Toby Alonzo.​

The poetry night is co-​hosted by​ fellows​ Jose Jason Chancoco and Daniel Olivan Jr. The ​​reading, part of a series of literary events of the 53rd Silliman University National Writers Workshop, is open for free to the public.
