Roy C. Iglesias was born and raised in Manila. He earned his Mass Communications degree at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and master’s degree at the Ateneo de Manila University. His screenplays made into full-length films include: Ako Legal Wife: Mano Po 4 (2005); Mano Po III: My Love (2004);Sigaw (2004); Feng Shui (2004); Kulimlim (2004); Filipinas (2003); Mano Po 2: My Home (2003); Bugbog Sarado (2003); Xerex (2003); Spirit Warriors 2(2003); Mano Po (2002); Bahid (2002); Prosti (2002); Kapalit (2002); Hubog(2001); Kung Mawawala Ka (soap opera, 2001); Spirit Warriors (2000);Linlang (1999); Warat: Bibigay Ka Ba (1999); Hinahanap-hanap Kita (1999);Ang Babae sa Bintana (1998); Bakit May Kahapon Pa? (1996); Istokwa (1996);Eskapo: The Serge Osmeña-Geny Lopez Story (1995); Silakbo (1995); Ganti ng Puso (1994); Sa Kabila ng Lahat (1991); Tatlong Mukha ng Pag-ibig (1989);Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon? (1976) and Iligpit si Victor Saraza(n.d.). He also wrote a stage play titled, Rama at Sita (n.d.). He received many awards for his works, the most recent of which was from the 30th Metro Manila Film Festival (2004).
