The Varsitarian’s Creative Writing Workshop now accepting applications for fellowships

Ever the bastion of literary excellence, The Varsitarian continues to thrive in the writing scene and has contributed to UST’s list of National Artists and Palanca awardees, even after more than eight decades. This year is yet another time to reinforce the importance of literature by awakening the literary geniuses inside every Thomasian.

The Varsitarian invites you to the Creative Writing Workshop (formerly the Fiction Workshop), now celebrating its first decade!

Submit six (6) copies of your literary entry (Arial, font size 12, double-spaced, and in letter-sized paper) in only one of the categories Fiction, Katha, Tula, and Poetry along with a photocopy of your registration form, 1 x 1 photo, and a soft copy of your entry in a CD. The entries must have no name or any identifying mark. Submit the requirements in a short brown envelope at the Varsitarian office, Rm. 105, Tan Yan Kee Student Center on or before August 15, 2014.

Fellows will be one step ahead in preparation for the 30th Gawad Ustetika next year as twelve applicants will be granted fellowship in a workshop to be facilitated by top writers on September 13-14, 2014.
