ALAB, an organization founded to celebrate Music, Literature, and the Arts, will hold its First Year Anniversary Open Mic, SANGHABI (One Weave), on February 27, 2016, 7-11:30 pm at Conspiracy Garden Cafe, Visayas Ave., Quezon City.

This event is part of the annual Fringe Manila festival and will also feature spoken word artists Verlin Santos and Kooky Tuason, playwright Juan Ekis, musicians Marty Tengco, Mang Pedring Bautista and Sanghabi.
ALAB’s beneficiary, Sanghabi, is a non-profit organization that focuses primarily on appreciation for Philippine cultural diversity through the use of indigenous musical instruments. The group performs community rituals for various institutions such as the Peacemaker’s Circle and Balay Rehabilitation Center in support of the advocacy for peace and the strengthening of the rights of indigenous people. They also conduct cultural workshops (Pintig and Sulat Baybayin) to those who are interested in learning more about Philippine culture.
Registration starts at 6:30pm. Tickets for this fundraising event cost P200.00, inclusive of one drink.
