PUP Social History Lecture Series Presents Walther Neil L. Hontiveros and Eduardo C. Tadem

The PUP Center for Social History (PUP-CSH) under the PUP Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Development (OVPRED) will be holding a “Social History Lecture Series” on October 6, 2017 at the Bonifacio Hall, NALLRC, PUP Main Campus, Sta. Mesa, Manila.

The lecture is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. The first lecturer is Walther Neil L. Hontiveros, a former graduate student of University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Mr. Hontiveros will discuss the topic “Social History of Coconut-Coffee Farmers in Quezon Province, Philippines.” The second lecturer is Dr. Eduardo C. Tadem from Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. Dr. Tadem will discuss the topic “A Framework for Social History and History from Below, Peasant Moral Economy, and Everyday Forms of Resistance.”

Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The lecture proper will start at 9:00am (1st lecture) and 2:00pm (2nd lecture). A Certificate of Attendance will be given to the participants after the lecture.
