Angeles, Clarissa N.


Clarissa N. Angeles (a.k.a. Claire Angeles) is a former High School Social Science Teacher (specifically in Philippine and World History) at St. Mary’s College Quezon City. At present, she is a University Research Associate at the Department of Political Science, UP Diliman, and a freelance writer and editor, accepting papers/ theses/ books for editing/ copy reading/ proofreading and has
published numerous poems, essays and short stories in both English and Filipino in various websites, newspapers, magazines and books.Ms. Angeles graduated cum laude from UP Diliman in 1998 with the degree Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies and minor in Filipino, and was a consistent honor student from elementary to high school at the UP Integrated School. She finished her Master in Asian Studies degree program at the UP Diliman Asian Center and is currently pursuing her PhD in Anthropology at UP Diliman. Her interests, besides writing, include reading, traveling, photography, watching movies, gardening, taking care of dogs, cooking and baking, singing, dancing, sketching, and sports such as bowling, volleyball, cycling, swimming, table tennis, billiards, and chess. She enjoys nature-tripping, tree planting, charity works, and other outreach activities from which the marginalized sectors benefit.
