Louie Jon A. Sánchez teaches writing, literature, popular culture, and television studies at the Department of English, Ateneo de Manila University.  He holds an MFA in Creative Writing, with high distinction, from the De La Salle University-Manila, where he is also a candidate for a PhD in Literature. He has won prizes from the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards, Catholic Mass Media Awards, and the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino’s Talaang Ginto Poetry Contest, where he holds the distinction of winning the “Makata ng Taon” title thrice (2006, 2009, 2011).
