Do you have poems that are just waiting to be read? Songs that the world needs to hear? Maybe you’ve planned out a night of spoken word performances with your friends, but you’re having a hard time finding a venue for it. Look no further.
The LIKHAAN UP Institute of Creative Writing is now open to proposals for GANAP: Literatura at Musika sa Gitna ng Pandemya. Proposals must include:
- Episode theme
- Episode title
- Name of moderator
- Names of performers (4-5)
- Program flow (maximum of 45 minutes)
- Soft copy of works to be performed (.DOC format)
- Links to previous performances (for reference)
As with previous GANAP episodes, the content must have both the performance and insights on the quarantine experience. The pieces to be performed must fit the theme set by the proponents. The works can be old or new, and can be standalones or parts of a suite.
Additionally, the pieces must not have been submitted to another institution or program in the meantime. This is to make sure that there will be no copyright issues.
Upon approval of the proposal, an episode number and airing date will be assigned and the recording guidelines will be given. The group needs to send the complete performance video (maximum duration of 45 minutes) on or before the agreed deadline. Each performer, moderator, and video editor will receive a modest stipend.
Send your proposal via email to [email protected] with the following subject:

With this open call, we are hoping to hear more grounded and varied interpretations of the pandemic experience. We want to facilitate the free exchange of ideas and literature, and as always, to promote local talent, especially new ones that can offer so many new insights. Most importantly, we want these little events to give us a sense of community, despite the enduring distance created by the pandemic.
If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions, please email us at [email protected] or message us via our Facebook page.
We look forward to hearing what you have to say. See you in the coming GANAP episodes!
