The Ayala Museum invites everyone with a knack for storytelling and an interest in discussing current issues and other topics of relevance to learn about the art and craft of Feature Writing. This introductory workshop will focus on the basics of writing a feature story. It will help participants find and develop stories behind various topics, and focus on writing at a more personal level and in a more narrative style. Learn what defines a feature story, its different types and styles. Discover what it takes to get published.
Speaker Audrey Carpio is the features editor of Esquire Philippines magazine. She started as a columnist for the Young Star section of the Philippine Star when she was a teenager and has since worked towards a career in writing, contributing articles for most lifestyle magazines, getting her graduate degree in journalism at Columbia University and then coming back to the world of Manila publishing
The workshop fee is P 4,000 inclusive of handouts, materials, snacks, certificate, one day free access to the museum and library. The deadline for reservations is on June 21, 2013. A 5 percent discount will be given to those who pay in full on or before the deadline. Acentives member will get a 10 percent discount.
