The Likhaan: UP Institute of Creative Writing invites the public to attend Prof. Emeritus Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo delivers her lecture, “To Remember to Remember: Writing the Literary Memoir,” at the Claro M. Recto Hall, Faculty Center, UP Diliman on 2 August 2013 at 2:30 p.m.
Dr. Hidalgo, an award-winning writer and critic, is considered a pioneering writer of creative nonfiction in the country. She began her career writing for newspapers and magazines at a young age, and has worked as a writer, editor and teacher. Dr. Hidalgo’s autobiographical and travel writing are collected in a number of books including “Sojourns,” “Skyscrapers, Celadon and Kimchi,” “I Remember,” “The Path of the Heart,” and “Coming Home.” She is currently the Director of the UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies.
Dr. Hidalgo’s lecture is part of the ICW’s Panayam Lecture Series, a venue for the ICW fellows and associates’ creative and critical output.
