The Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA), in cooperation with Museo Pambata, celebrates Andres Bonifacio’s 150th anniversary through a one-day, festive affair dubbed Perya ni Andres. It will be in honor of Bonifacio’s enduring contributions to our colorful history, culture, and the arts. PHSA believes that through a perya, people from all walks of life will relive the works, ideals, and life led by the courageous Filipino. The event will feature eight arts booths that represent the eight provinces where members of the Katipunan hailed from. Each tent will have its own exciting and educational activities. There will be a roleta, beto-beto, pabunot, crafts booth, tessellation, memory games, and other perya games.

This will be opened by three National Artists namely: Virgilio Almario, Francisco Sionil Jose, and Bienvenido Lumbera who will share their thoughts on who Andres Bonifacio is. In connection to this, we would like to respectfully invite you to cover this celebration of this momentous event at Museo Pambata, Roxas Blvd., corner South Drive, Manila on November 30, 2013 at 2:00p.m. Proceeds will be collected to support young art scholars and their families who are effected by the recent earthquake and storm.
