Everyone is cordially invited to this special event on 10 February 2014.

First in the Philippines, this event with performances will gather Noh Grandmasters, diplomats, cultural experts and practitioners, journalists, scholars and students to discuss performing arts and cultural diplomacy.

Participants will also have a rare opportunity to witness Noh Grandmasters perform Noh, a more than 600-year-old performed art that will mesmerize, impress, and inspire. Performances include a staging of Amelia Lapeña-Bonifacio’s CCP award-winning play Ang Paglalakbay ni Sisa, Isang Noh sa Laguna. The role of Sisa will be performed by Naohiko Umewaka, an internationally celebrated Noh Grandmaster for Shite (lead actor) of the Kanze school, to be supported by the UPCIS Noh Ensemble composed of UP student artists.
