The College Editors Guild of the Philippines – Northern Mindanao cordially invites you to this academic year’s TINTA: Region-wide General Assembly on October 4, 2014 at Word of Life, Seaside Bible Camp, Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental with the theme: “PASIUGDA: Promoting Valiant Campus Journalism for truth and Accountability”.
The College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP), now on its 83rd year, is the broadest, oldest and largest existing intercollegiate alliance of tertiary student publications in the country. The Guild has been conducting seminars and other activities under the banner of press freedom. CEGP holds different forms of activities to provide a venue for the students and campus journalist to enhance their skills in writing and to awaken up on the issues of the society.
This year’s General Assembly will feature workshops on basic, intermediate and advanced journalism skills training. And as part of the Guild’s dedication to educating campus journalists on the plight of the country, forum and various socio-political discussions will also be features. It will also feature the TINTA Awards, the Guild’s annual Region -wide contest for student publications.
The registration fee is P200.00 per delegate inclusive of lunch, snacks and kit for the duration of the event.
An annual regional fee of P500.00 per publication will also be collected from member publications. Non-member publications who wish to become part of the Guild must also pay P500 for the institutional fee.
