PahinaLaya 2016, CLSU Collegian’s 1st Integrated Campus Press Conference and Competition to be held at CLSU

The CLSU Collegian, the official student publication of Central Luzon State University, will hold the PahinaLaya 2016 on April 9-10 2016, at College of Engineering, audio-visual room, CLSU

PahinaLaya 2016, CLSU Collegian’s 1st Integrated Campus Press Conference and Competition, aims to sustain the publication’s tradition of promoting campus journalism by providing an avenue for pro-active journalism training.

Respected journalism practitioners and professors including Prof. Ben G. Domingo of the CHED Technical Committee for Journalism, Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy of Central Luzon State University, Mr. Melvin Gascon of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, and Prof. Liana Barro of Far Eastern University will serve as this year’s resource speakers.

In this connection, we take pride in inviting your school to send participants preferably the staff members of your school organization and publication.

Participants are encouraged to pre-register online by sending e-mail to kule.pahinalaya@gmail.com containing the following details: name of institution/organization, name of publication, number and full name of participants and head of delegation (with contact number) or you may visit us at CLSU Collegian Office, Student Union Building, Central Luzon State University, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. Pre-registered participants shall pay Php 200 (for CLSU participants) or Php 250 (for non-CLSU participants), or Php 600 (for non-CLSU participants who will avail of lodging and one breakfast) per head to cover the conference kits and three (3) snacks. They are advised to bring packed lunch as the organizers will not provide for their lunch. Photojournalists shall also have to pay additional Php 60 for photo developing.

Walk-in participants may be accepted if there will still be available slots. They will be charged Php 250 (for CLSU participants) or Php 300 (for non-CLSU participants).
