Araw ng PHSA 2016 welcomes home ethnomusicologist Grace Nono, actress Shamaine Centenera, filmmaker Raymond Red, pianist Greg Zuniega, and other alumni on June 11
On the occasion of the Philippine High School for the Arts` 39th Foundation Day celebrations on 11 June 2016, PHSA alumni will gather for a reunion entitled Ibarang Konek at the National Arts Center in Mt. Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna. PHSA is proud to present this year`s featured four batches and their members:

The festivities will start at 6am at the Cultural Center of the Philippines parking lot where participants will be picked up by PHSA bus that will bring them to Mt. Makiling. At 8am, Alay Kay Inang Kalikasan will commence with tree-planting activities.
At 10am, in Alay Kay Inang Bayan, PHSA will give recognition to friends and members of its family who have been supportive to its mandate to provide and implement a general secondary level program, combined with a special curriculum oriented to the arts and geared to the early recognition and development of highly talented children exceptionally gifted in the arts, thus providing a continuing source of artists of excellence and leaders in the preservation and promotion of the Filipino heritage. St. Scholastica`s College professor and concert pianist Josue Greg Zuniega together with soprano Luz Morete will deliver a lecture/performance on the theme Kundiman at Nasyonalismo.
The highlight of this segment is the official launch of BEST @ 40 in preparation for the PHSA’s 40th anniversary next year — on 11 June 2017.
After lunch from 1pm onwards will be the Alumnayan where the following PHSA alumni will share their views on art and life after Makiling: actress Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino (Batch Amorsolo `81), fashion designer Edna Encarnacion-Castillo (Batch Abelardo `81), TVC director Henry Frejas (Batch Abelardo `81), painter/film maker Jon Red (Batch Amorsolo `81), arts administrator Vincent Sales (Batch Abelardo `81), film maker Raymond Red (Batch Aquino `82), and St. Scholastica`s College professor and concert pianist Greg Zuniega (Batch Buencamino `83).
After dinner will be the much-awaited Alay Kay Inang Paaralan called Makiling Jamming.
