Mark Angeles was a writer-in-residence of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa, USA in 2013. Lampara Books published his children’s books Si Znork, Ang Kabayong Mahilig Matulog and Si Andoy, Batang Tondo. His fiction collection Gagambeks at mga Kuwentong Waratpad was published by Visprint. A redux of his book Emotero is forthcoming. Angeles is a columnist of Pinoy Weekly, literary editor of, and features contributor of GMA News Online. He writes for DIWA (literary
selections for Filipino, English, and Social Science textbooks) where he published his Senior High School (SHS) manual Creative Nonfiction. He teaches SHS Filipino and 21 st Century Literature at Notre Dame of Greater Manila. In 2016, he was conferred Makata ng Taon (Poet of the Year) by the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino and won first place at the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature.
