BRIDGETTE ANN REBUCA was born in Manila, Philippines. She graduated at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila with a degree in Mass Communications.

At present, she is a Senior Writer at ABS-CBN, having written soap operas or “teleseryes” since 2010. Her works include “Wildflower”, “Tubig at Langis” and “Two Wives”.  

In 2019, she won the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature for her One Act Play in Filipino entitled “Transient Lovers”.

In 2005, she was employed as a Concept Developer for ABS-CBN. In 2006 she became a Junior Writer for talk and variety programs like “Showbiz no. 1”, “Little Big Star” and “Little Big Superstar”. The Sarah Geronimo hosted show was nominated in various award giving bodies at the time.

In 2010, she studied found story and scriptwriting via the “Found Story Workshop” under the veteran scriptwriter and filmmaker Armando “Bing” Lao.

The same year, she transitioned from talk and variety writer to narrative/drama writer in ABS-CBN via the teleserye “Habang May Buhay”.

In 2011, she is a Senior Writer for the teleserye “Nasaan Ka Elisa?”.

In 2012, she worked as a Head Writer for the teleserye “Wako Wako”.

Soon, she started writing the Philippine adaptation of “Maria Mercedes”, in 2013.

She then wrote for the Philippine adaptation of the Korean series “Two Wives” back in 2014 starring Kaye Abad and Erich Gonzales.

In 2016, she wrote for the afternoon teleserye “Tubig at Langis” starring Zanjoe Marudo and Cristine Reyes. Tubig at Langis garnered its highest ratings of 21.6% for its finale episode.

She also wrote for “Los Bastardos”, an afternoon teleserye based from a popular pocketbook series back in 2019.

Also in 2019, she had a short stint in the creative team for the teleserye “Halik” starring Jericho Rosales.

She has also written several episodes for the weekend afternoon anthology “Ipaglaban Mo” since 2015.

She also directed the documentary “Tawag Ng Lupa” which was selected in the Clermont Ferrand Video Library in 2018. 

In 2019, she became a fellow at the “Amelia Lapena Bonifacio Writers’ Workshop” at the University of the Philippines Institute of Creative Writing.

Currently she is working on a primetime series at ABSCBN, a digital anthology for Iwant and a feature film for Star Cinema.
