After a long wait, Lutong Baybay is set for launch! This seafood recipe + food narrative zine centers the voices of women from 6 coastal barangays in highlighting the importance of Dumaguete’s rich marine biodiversity in sustaining the needs of several communities in the city. From Bantayan to Banilad, Lutong Baybay, through food recipes, shows us the generational struggle of fisherfolks and how we are inextricably connected to the sea.
Find us this Friday (April 1), at the NoTo174 Protest along the Boulevard, and score a copy of this zine if you can. E-copies of Lutong Baybay will also be made available at a donate-what-you-can-scheme via the Bantayan Community Pantry FB page.
Physical copies: Lutong Baybay will be sold at Php 150 apiece at the Friday Protest. What better place to launch the zine than where it was first conceived!
E-copies: Donate what you can and send proof of donation (screenshot/photo/etc) over at the Bantayan Community Pantry Facebook page. Once acknowledged, an e-copy of the zine will be sent your way. All proceeds will go to our partner fishing communities.
