Boac, Marinduque – The month of May is National Heritage Month conducted this year with the theme “Pamanang Lokal: Binhi ng Kulturang Pilipino”. Last May 16, 2022, Dr. Randy T. Nobleza, Marinduque State College (MSC) Sentro ng Wika at Kultura Director & 70th Anniversary Collection and Preservation Committee Head, convened Marinduqueño Architects; Ar. Beda Magturo, Ar. Maynard Muhi, Ar. Roy Manrique, Ar. Giles Sol, and Ar. Marjonier Malabanan for “Conversation on Conservation” Meeting is in support of the celebration of Marinduque State College 70th Foundation, at Learning Resource Center MSC Boac.

They discussed how to best preserve and present to the public MSC’s built heritage particularly those that are built since the birth of the college that are still being used. The machine shop and Automotive Building at MSC main Campus are heritage structures being eyed for conservation as living museums which would be part of MSC’s tangible legacy to the community.

This plan is timely as MSC celebrate the international museum day May 18, this day is one of the important dates in the calendar of all museums worldwide.
