Sa darating na taunang Writers Night sa 6 Disyembre, ang tuon ng ating pansin at pagtulong ay sa mga manunulat at iba pang alagad ng sining na nasalanta ng bagyo, lindol, at iba pang kalamidad.

Kami po mula sa Likhaan: U.P. Institute of Creative Writing ay nag-aanyaya sa inyo na maghandog ng salapi at/o bagay mula sa inyong puso. Tulad ninyo,  hiningian din po namin ng kanilang nilagdaang manuskrito at libro ang mga Pambansang Alagad ng Sining na sina Virgilio Almario, Bienvenido Lumbera, at Francisco Sionil Jose. Gayundin, nangalap din kami ng mahahalagang gamit ng mga manunulat gaya ng paboritong papet ni Amelia Lapeña Bonifacio o polo ni Cirilo Bautista o sombrero ni Teo Antonio o makinilya ni Rebecca Añonuevo.

What is Shakespeare in Asia

The First University of the Philippines International Shakespeare Conference is a two-day conference on Shakespeare in Asia that engages several aspects of Shakespearean pedagogy, publication, translation, adaptation, and theatrical histories in various Asian locations. It features leading Shakespearean scholars from Taiwan, Japan, India, Korea, the United States, and the Philippines, and Filipino directors and playwrights who have produced and written adaptations of Shakespearean texts. The conference will be held on December 5&6, 2013 at the Pulungang Claro M. Recto, Bulwagang Rizal, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

Who is Shakespeare in Asia For

The event shall be open to academics, teachers, researchers, students, theater practitioners who have an expressed interest in Shakespeare and a curiosity about Asian Shakespeare.
